Almighty

Almighty

The glowing fish
At the bottom of the sea
The twirling baby
Within the womb

The blood- tinged
Canine of a lion
The dead stag’s
Piteous elliptical face

The throat slashing
Hyena’s eye
On the shore
The rough crocodile’s spine

The black hole
Monster’s mouth
The rocking
Hurricane’s din

A thunderbolt!
The falling tree
The tumbling meteor

The oscillating crop
The raging hunger
He is the one, it seems,
All these

He never even sways
To flower throws and
Chimes of bell
- looks through the smoke
Of incense sticks
Into my
Shuddered eyes

Green Parrots

A flock of green parrots
like an emarald necklace
hanging from the sky!

(translation to my telugu haiku, chilukala gumpu...)

చిలుకల గుంపు -
మొయిల్చాన గళంలో పచ్చల హారం.

good and evil

Accept good and
Reject evil, like a poison ,always!

See, how swans
separate milk from water!

(Translation to my telugu poem, manchini grahinchi....)

మంచిని గ్రహించి చెడును త్య
జించుము విషము వలె నెంచి ఎప్పటికైనన్
కించిత్తు పొరబడక రా
యంచలు క్షీరమును గ్రోలి వారిన్విడచున్

DRUMS OF VICTORY

( An english translation of SriSri’s telugu poem JAYABHERI )

I too have offered a firewood to the fire of world
I too have shed a teardrop for the rain of world
I too have screamed with a frenzied voice for the shriek o f world

Haven’t I been seethed like a bat, when the summer blazed!
Haven’t I been drenched from top to toe, when the rainy season came!
When the winter cut like a blade, I was frozen and cried with the hunger.

If I alone stop, the hot winds, the rainy clouds and the snowfalls would vanish from the earth.
The colorful stars peeping from the sky would drop and burst, vomiting the blood.
The afternoons would break and the nights would shrink.
And the whole world would come to an end.
I shall fill the whole universe with myself and the moments would come,
Of the entire world being showered with the sprinkles of my echoes.

I too shall become the white petal of world-lotus and blossom;
I too shall become the string of world-harp and vibrate;
I too shall become the flag of the world-mansion and rise-up.
